a small elected Steering Group meets quarterly to assess the Forum's work, receive feedback from other groups, guide campaign strategies and plan future work.
there are several informal groups which meet to monitor and discuss various issues which affect the town, including planning, transport, the arts, youth, Green issues, and sport.
the Town Centre Group meets regularly with the Town Centre Manager and occasionally with District Council or Police representatives to look at all aspects of Hitchin's town centre (policies, development proposals, environmental improvements, services, facilities, safety etc.)
public meetings about current issues in the town are held when applicable to generate informed discussion and debate.
Members’ meetings are also held to exchange ideas about current issues and the working of the Forum.
a newsletter is circulated to members 5-6 times per year. Back issues can be viewed on this website. Campaign material is sent to members as necessary.
all members can put forward ideas and suggestions, raise issues they would like discussed by the Forum, and submit items for the Newsletter.
